The name Validas derives from several ideas.
It sounds like "Validate" which is the core of what we do for our customer’s wireless bills.
We validate whether bills are accurate and find plan mismatches and errors to save them money.
It means "powerful" in Latin and Spanish. Our message, technology, and the information we
provide is powerful and we empower our customers to understand how they use their wireless services
and how they spend every cent for them.
It relates to "veritas" which means truth. From the beginning our goal has been to put truth
in wireless billing by delivering accurate and detailed information into our customer’s hands.
Validas is a privately funded company, founded by former wireless executives who wanted to do more for
their customers. We are committed to taking care of people and staying true to our core objectives –
simplifying, serving, and saving money.

Thomas Pepe, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
As Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Validas,
Mr. Pepe, is taking his vision of enterprise portals
delivered in a software as a service (SAAS) model to
the market. In this role, Mr. Pepe will define the overall
company strategy and set standards in the on-demand
portal space. Prior to founding Validas, From December
1997 to July 2007, Mr. Pepe held technical, sales and
senior management positions at Verizon Wireless. He
was instrumental in driving sales and revenue across
different markets in the United States. He holds a Bachelor
of Arts degree in History from Farleigh Dickinson University.
Todd Dunphy, Co-Founder, President
As President and Co-Founder of Validas, Mr.
Dunphy's core responsibility is to oversee the customer
experience by improving the Validas product line and
support. Prior to Validas and from June 2001 to
July 2007, Mr. Dunphy served in various sales positions at
Verizon Wireless, starting in retail, moving to corporate sales,
then into management and finally finishing in data sales.
Mr. Dunphy's vision is derived from his detailed understanding of the
sales process from the customers perspective. His relentless desire to
do what is right for the customer is the heart and soul behind the
Validas platform. Mr. Dunphy graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal
Arts in Political Science from The University of New Hampshire.
Jeremy Groh, Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer of Validas,
Mr. Groh's role is to align technology vision with the
business strategy by integrating the company processes
with the appropriate technologies. Mr. Groh is also
responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing
technology initiatives within the company, overseeing
all technical resources and IT employees of the company
as well as the development and creation of the Validas
website. Prior to joining Validas, Mr. Groh worked at
Tyco Electronics for 5 years in various positions. Mr.
Groh graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information
Technology from The University of Phoenix. He also holds
two Associate Degrees, one in Electrical Engineering
Technology from The Pennsylvania State University and
the other in Electronics Engineering from ITT Technical Institute.
Andy Adams, Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer of Validas,
Mr. Adams has over twenty-two years of experience in the areas of technology,
operations, sales and marketing, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Validas,
he was the Chief Alliance and Acquisition Officer for nGenera where he was
instrumental in the acquisition of five companies over the course of
eighteen months. Mr. Adams’s entrepreneurial success is highlighted as
a co-founder and executive of a business process outsourcing start-up
that quickly grew to over $70 million in annual revenue. He also served
as the CIO of a $1.2 billion public company where he led the development
and implementation of a shared services organization that greatly
accelerated the profitability of twenty-three acquired companies.
Mr. Adams spent over ten years in technology consulting services at
Accenture and Coopers & Lybrand. He holds a B.B.A. degree from Baylor University.
Dave Chalmers, Executive Vice President - Business Development
As Executive Vice President - Business Development of Validas,
Mr. Chalmers creative and developmental programs play
an essential role in managing client teams. From 2003
to 2006, Mr. Chalmers served as Vice President at Research
In Motion (RIM) where he successfully managed day to
day RIM operations for nine international CDMA Telecommunication
Carriers (from Canada to Venezuela) resulting in revenue
into the hundreds of millions annually. He led all marketing,
sales and technical commitments for these international
partners. Mr. Chalmers holds a degree from Laurentian
University/Universit Laurentienne.
Edward Finegold, Executive Vice President – Analytics
As Executive Vice President – Analytics of Validas,
Mr. Finegold is responsible for Validas’ analytics and business
intelligence offerings. As an author and former editor-in-chief for
Billing World magazine he is recognized globally as a leading expert
on telecommunications billing systems, processes, architecture and
output. Mr. Finegold has more than a decade of experience in the
telecommunications industry as an project manager, analyst, and
consultant to some of the world’s largest IT suppliers.
Gregory Urban, Vice President Operations
As Vice President Operations of Validas,
Mr. Urban’s role is to interpret customer service and sales operations
into Validas’ IT group through product development and process improvement.
From 1995 to 2008 Mr. Urban served retail and corporate customers for
Verizon Wireless and AT&T through technical management, operations,
and corporate sales. His zest for simplifying customer understanding is
the heart beat of Validas’ customer service platform.
